Eureka! is located on the corner of Brazos and 6th street in downtown Austin. It is an all-American restaurant and bar that features local craft beer and a wide-ranging whiskey selection. The menu is extensive and designed to please every palate!  

The interior features repurposed wood beneath the bar and stone walls that warmly welcome guests. Eureka! offers an excellent variety from appetizers to desserts including: sherry braised pork riblets, kale salad, bison burgers, signature items, and tacos.

While critics have raved most about their burgers, I opted for a menu item not common to most restaurants—the Lobster Tacos. You can order the tacos on flour or corn tortillas, so I ordered one of each. The waitress returned and apologetically informed me that they were out of the flour tortillas, which was fine with me. Once my order arrived, I was pleased to see the corn tortillas appeared to be freshly made and steamed to perfection! There were succulent pieces of lobster claw meat fried to precision! Then the lobster was wrapped with finely shredded cabbage, thinly sliced watermelon radish, a slice of avocado, and then drizzled with saffron crema. This was served with a side of truffle fries. I could not have asked for a better meal! All the flavors came together in perfect harmony and I enjoyed every bite!

For dessert, I ordered the Chocolate Torte. The torte was served warm alongside a scoop of homemade vanilla bean ice cream and chopped macadamia nuts.

Overall I rate Eureka! as a top-notch experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a casual happy hour to unwind at following a hectic day! I would also recommend it for girl’s night out, guys night out, date night, or any other group gathering. I definitely look forward to returning to Eureka! and sampling some of the other menu items that I saw pass my table!
